Peter Javorík, born in 1982 in Žilina (Slovakia).

Most of the time he works as a lecturer in the Faculty of Industrial Design in the Academy Sztuk Pięknych (Academy of Fine Arts) in Krakow. But as a freelancer, he also commutes between Bardejov and Košice, which is his hometown. He studied at the Faculty of Arts in the Technical University of Košice, were in 2012 he finished his master studies, and in 2016 he accomplished doctoral studies in the field of Visual Communication at the Department of Design. He has extended his academic horizons during two study visits in ASP in Krakow (2011 – 2012, 2015 – 2016), during the residency in Rotterdam through the EHMK project (2013), and on an internship in Palma de Mallorca (2014). In 2012 he took part in the 8th year of the Trnava Poster Triennial, where he earned the prize for the Bardejov wondering - Franciscan Church poster. In 2013, he succeeded with his idea in the competition- K13, the winning logo of the Kosice Cultural Centers, with which he won the main prize at the 4th International Biennial Logo 2014 in Banska Bystrica.  In 2014 he participated the competition for Ekoposter Žilina, where he was awarded the third place for the poster Save misty the Dolphin. He achieved significant international success (Golden Bee Award) in Moscow in 2014 for a poster called Atheism. During 2015, he was successful at several international exhibitions, such as Mexico exhibition, Death With a Smile. In the same year, he participated in the Bienal del Cartel in Bolivia and Italian Poster Biennial. In 2016 he had an individual exhibition in Košice and Bardejov and was successful at several international exhibitions, such as the Biennale in Ecuador, Moscow, Auschwitz, Mexico, Sofia, Monse, or Taichung.  In 2017 he organized his own exhibition named Znaki Graficzne, in Krakow, and in 2018 he prepared two curatorial projects in Bardejov - a Chinese graphic poster (130 authors) and 100 years of the Russian revolution (440 authors) - both of them have publications. He has participated in more than 50 global and local exhibitions. Besides, he earned several awards - he took first place at the Moscow Biennale (Russia) for cultural posters, he placed second for the theater poster in Chişinău (Moldova), and he got an honorable mention at the Quito Biennale (Ecuador). In 2019 he created the City of Bardejov project, which invited more than 600 designers from around the world to create a poster for Bardejov. So far, 230 posters have been received from 30 countries around the world. In the current year, he also has two individual exhibitions in the Polish towns of Radom and Lodz and he has participated in more than 20 international and local exhibitions - the Peruvian Design Biennial in Callao (Peru), Balcon Poster in Sanandaj-Kurdistan (Iran). Satyrykon in Legnica (Poland), Posterterorism in Seoul (South Korea), the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus in Moscow (Russia), Haapsalu Graphic Design (Estonia), Shut up! in Los Angeles (USA), Children, owners of the future world in Karaj (Iran) and 4 jazz walls in Krakow (Poland).
