Agnieszka Ziemiszewska

Agnieszka Ziemiszewska is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, where she received her Master’s degree with distinction from the Faculty of Graphic Arts. She has also studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she completed her PhD.

Agnieszka is a graphic designer, an academic teacher and a curator. She has organised a series of design exhibitions and events, but has also participated in numerous prestigious graphic arts and design exhibitions, both in Poland and abroad (notably in the USA, China, Italy, Germany, France, Taiwan, Bolivia, Mexico, Hong Kong, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Sweden, Bulgaria, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Iran, Peru, Slovenia, South Korea, Japan).

She has been awarded various distinctions, such as the Platinum Award at the Creativity Annual Awards in the USA, the Grand Prix of the Polish Poster Biennial, the 1st award of the VIII Triennial of Eco-poster 'the 4th Block' and has received the fellowship of the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

Agnieszka has also served on the juries of several poster competitions and has led workshops and lectures in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, China and in France.

Currently Agnieszka works as an adjunct professor at the Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology in Warsaw, where she heads the Typography Studio.

Agnieszka is the author of the Poster/Blog, an online blog devoted to poster art.
